My Favourite Surrealist Instagram Photographers

During University I completed a mobile surrealist project. Whilst researching for my project I discovered a world of mobile photography and more spesifically the AMPt community. The AMPt community is a world wide network of Mobile Photographers, Artist & Videographers. This means their work is created on mobile devices. Not just surreal work but all mobile art. Through discovering AMPt I found some truly remarkable surrealist mobile artists and I would like to share some of my favourites. 

  

LovePaperPlane Discovering Kelly at LovePaperPlane really helped when stumbling upon the world of mobile surreal photography. Each picture that is uploaded talks about where the inspiration for the photo came from, what apps where used to edit, the stock images that were used and the story behind each photo. I always feel a real sense of story and narrative when looking at LovePaperPlane's images and they make my imagination run wild. Great photographs to make you think.

Nois7 Nois7 mixes the world of reality and surrealism with great balance and creates images that surprise you. The images look very realistic and for a second make you think 'is that real?' The locations and subjects are recognisable and the enhances made are very impressive. 

Ariel_Lis The images created by Ariel_Lis are very unusual and almost have a science fiction feel to them. Often using landscape or city photography, Ariel_Lis create edgy gripping images which all have interesting detail to look at. A theme within Ariel_Lis' images is defying the laws of physics. This includes photos of space and those that have various different axis and vanishing points. It reminds me of M.C.Escher's Relativity.

Digital_Editz Digital_Editz, also known as Jonny Joyce, is a London based photographer with a large Instagram following with both his photography and 'edits' account. Jonny's surreal images are very dream like and creatively show a fantasy world. These images draw you in and have real creative power behind them to let your mind wonder into the new world of the photo. There are many surreal artists on Instagram and you should go and search for your favourites. Creativity and photography come in so many different forms! Lucinda x
